Franco joined EFAMA in June 2024. He is a Policy Advisor with the EFAMA Regulatory Policy Team and is responsible for the work on regulatory issues relating to post-trade activities in capital markets (EMIR) and digital finance regulation such as the AI Act. 

Prior to joining EFAMA, Franco worked as a Financial Markets Policy Advisor at Europex, where he gained competencies in MiFID II, EMIR, REMIT and BMR. He also has experience working in sustainable finance topics at the NGO Wetlands International Europe, as well as working as a lawyer in his home country Argentina.  

Franco holds an LL.M. in International Law with a specialisation in Global Political Economy from the University of Kent. He also attended Law School at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella. He speaks fluent English and Spanish and has a sound working knowledge of French.
